10% of children aged 5-16 have a mental health problem

(ref: Green et al. (2005) Mental Health of Children and Young People in Great Britain. Basingstoke: Macmillan).

The situation appears to be worsening, not improving – in the last 25 years, anxiety and depression rates amongst young people have increased by 70% (Comic Relief, 2013).

There is significant and growing evidence that early intervention is the key. It is estimated that poor mental health costs the economy, NHS and society £105 billion a year (NSPCC: How Safe Are Our Children? 2016).

Enabling children to fulfil their potential is at the heart of what we do.
