Mindfulness groups

We are delighted to be able to offer the Paws.b mindfulness course.

This helps children to:

  • feel happier, calmer and more fulfilled
  • get on better with others
  • concentrate and learn better
  • cope with stress and anxiety

Paws.b is a leading mindfulness curriculum for children aged 7 -11. It can be used as part of the PSHE curriculum or as a club.

It is a tool that can be used to provide space so that you can choose how to respond to difficult situations and thoughts, giving children mindfulness as a life skill.

Children learn to find a quiet, calm and steady place inside themselves, which they can access when they feel challenged by life’s hurdles or distracted by the busy world they face.

Supporting children to build skills of resilience through developing an awareness of their emotional and physical responses to situations they face, it provides key, age-appropriate mindfulness practices which support emotional regulation and build emotional well-being.

The sessions are flexible and varied and can be taught as six 1 hour lessons, or twelve 30 minute lessons.

The programme is taught by Lucy Capron. Find out more about Lucy and our other team members here.

In today’s rush, we all think too much — seek too much — want too much — and forget about the joy of just being.
